The hardest lesson I've ever had to learn

  • More is not better.

I know you’re working hard. Working hard is what brought you all of your success so far, but what got you here won’t get you there.

The hard work strategy works until it doesn’t and then we have no clue what to do. You think more effort will yield more results, but all that does is tax your system even more.

Let’s use an easy example of achieving your physique goals. You’re in your fat loss phase, you’re getting your workouts, you’re getting your steps you are consistently hitting your macros, but for some reason, nothing is working. Our gut reaction is to lower our macros even more, add more steps or add more cardio or add more workouts. All that does is keep you inflamed, tire you out, make you more hungry, and you see the scale creep up. The exact opposite of what you want.

But we’re so afraid to try anything else because backing off is counterintuitive to everything we know to be true.

Perhaps you are a fellow business owner. Your sales are down so you start working longer hours, trying to force the issue, grinding harder, only to not generate anymore revenue and leave yourself feeling burnt out.
